Curious Cricket Guide

Write for us

We welcome pitches that help a curious reader understand cricket more fully, whether they begin with a rule, a piece of equipment, a format or a custom around the game. Send proposals through the Contact page.

The stories we want to read

A strong pitch has one clear question and a useful answer for readers. It might unpack a term heard during a match, compare two ways of understanding a tactical choice, trace the background of a cricket custom or show how a format changes the rhythm of play. Keep the scope focused enough to explain well.

What to include

Tell us the working title, the main idea, who the piece is for and how you would handle it. Note any specialist terms that need explaining and what makes the subject useful beyond a single match. We value clear, original writing that distinguishes fact from opinion and does not rely on unsupported claims.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page to send your pitch and choose the editorial question option. A proposal is not a promise of publication. Please do not send a finished article unless we have asked for one.
